"Romeo, oh Romeo"

On the side A of the fifth cassette Hannah talks about the Party on which Clay and she approached each other.

Hannah´s grades downgrade and because of that her parents gate her. She is invited to a party but caused of her house arrest she is not able to go. But when she hears in school that Clay also would be there she decided to creep out of the house after her parents fall asleep. She walks to the party with the decision to talk to Clay.
She wants to figure the "real" Clay out because she never heard something bad about him. At the party she directly meets Clay and they sit down at the couch and talk. But it was hard to converse so they decide to search for a more calm place to chat. They go upstairs and suddenly Hannah kisses Clay.
The two go into the bedroom and kiss each other while laying on the bed until Hannah suddenly wants Clay to stop. He wants her to calm down but she doesn´t listen. He leaves her alone and Hannah has a mental breakdown. Hannah thought of all the people who have hurt her and she connected them with each other while she cries.
After that incident Hannah never talked to Clay again.
While listening to the tape Clay leaves Rosie´s and meets Tony who wants him to get into his car. Clay takes order and Tony explains that he knows about the tapes and that he should follow each person that is part of the cassettes. After Clay listened to the cassette he admits that he really misses Hannah. Tony agrees.

"Why? Why Zach?"

My task is to write a letter from the perspective of Clay Jenson to Zach Dempsey. (casette 4a)

Hello Zach!

I´m pretty sure you know why I´m writing this letter, aren´t you? Right! Because we´re both reasons why Hannah committed suicide. Oh, Hannah! This pretty girl that didn´t deserved to be that desperate. Do you want to know something funny? We both aren´t just a reason for her suicide but we both fell in love with her also. And we just tried to make her happy with us but in the end we reached the completely oppistite. Or should I better say that I tried to make her happy? Because your action told me something different.
Why did you do that, Zach? I understand that you never had the intention to let Hannah kill herself but I don´t understand it either. If it was a joke, it wasn´t funny. I mean which idiot steals the compliments of the girl he had a crush on?
She needed the compliments so much. Of course you weren´t able to know all about her problems yet but it doesn´t give you the permission to do something like this.
What did you want to reach with your action? Don´t you want others to comliment her? Do you want to be the only one who comliments her? Or did you just wanted to take revenge because she rebuffed you at Rosie´s?
You see, I know everything. No secrets anymore. Scary, isn´t it? But, well, it won´t let Hannah revive if I take revenge in her name, so don´t be afraid. But I only want you to know that I disprize you very much.

Clay Jenson

I hope you enjoyed reading my fourth blogpost.
