"You´d better be quiet if you´re going to be a Peeping Tom!"

On the side B of the second cassette Hannah talks about the fourth reason why she commits suicide.

Hannahis being stalked by Tyler Down who goes to the same school as Hannah. He photographes her while she gets undressed, while her parents are not at home. Hannah wants the help of a school mate, but she just gets exited by the thought that someone takes photos of her secretly. The two girls meet at the house of Hannah, because they want to catch the Peeping Tom. They act in a lesbian way to attract him, which also works. But Hannah is not able to see his face and because of that she searches for him. And she finds him. After that Tyler never comes back at her house.

What would I like to say to Tyler Down?

At first I have to say that this is horrible. I do not want to imagine how Hannah felt when she found out that a Peeping Tom stared into her window. It makes you feel insecure even at your own home. And the girl that wanted to help Hannah was also not a real help, because she just was fascinated by this Peeping Tom and thought it was just a little game.
But now back to Tyler. It is disgusting what he has done. Taking photos of someone without his permission and knowing is bad, but if this person gets undressed it is just perverse. I would get really mad and would do everything that the Peeping Tom would be punished for what he did. Or I would confront him directly.


While reading on I am more and more able to understand the suicide of Hannah. New town, new school, new friends, false friends, rumors and then also this Peeping Tom... I can imagine that this really stresses somebody and does not let see him another way out.
